How the 3D print quote is calculated

The calculator applies transparent formulas to shop-specific inputs. It does not scrape prices, quote shipping, choose a tax treatment, or promise that a buyer will accept the recommended price.

Quote model

  • Material cost uses grams consumed, cost per kilogram, and the entered waste factor.
  • Machine cost uses print hours and the entered hourly depreciation and energy allowance.
  • Labor includes setup, post-processing, packing, and other hands-on time.
  • Failure risk increases recoverable cost before margin and percentage fees are solved.
  • The recommended price solves through percentage fees instead of subtracting them only after markup.
