Quote with costs, risk, and fees in the same ledger

A paid 3D print quote should cover more than filament or resin. Start with the direct production cost, divide by the expected success rate, then solve the final price after marketplace and payment fees so the target margin survives the transaction.

Use the slicer estimate for grams or milliliters and add realistic waste.

Price machine time with depreciation, electricity, and the hourly profit you need.

Add setup, post-processing, packaging, and seller-paid shipping before fees.

Raise the quote when reject risk, custom finishing, or marketplace fees compress margin.

Margin warning

If marketplace fees plus your target margin approach 100%, no selling price can satisfy the quote. Lower the margin target, reduce fee exposure, or move the order to a direct channel before sending the customer a number.
