No. Material is only the first line in a paid 3D print quote. The final price should also cover labor, machine depreciation, electricity, packaging, seller-paid shipping, fixed fees, percentage fees, and target margin.
When should I increase the waste or reject-rate buffer?
Increase the buffer for new materials, fragile geometry, rush jobs, tall prints, resin supports, color swaps, tight tolerances, and any order where a failed print would require unpaid replacement work.
